Spike Lee describes Tyler Perry's shows "Meet The Browns" and "House of Payne" as "coonery" and "buffoonery". Tyler Perry's interview about this will air on Sunday at 7p.m. I personally don't really like Meet The Browns I never was able to get in to it and I have seen about 10 episodes of House of Payne, but I love Tyler's movie and do not agree with Spike on this one. I love Spike's movies, but this definitely sounds like a lil bit of jealousy.

I don't think Spike Lee has anything to be jealous of. He has an opinion just like all the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteYes he can have his own opinion, but why all the negativity/hate?...or if he felt that way they are peers why couldn't he have just pulled Tyler Perry aside and discussed his concern with him instead of trying to publicly humiliate him?...No class if you ask me
