WOMAN CONTRACTS FLESH-EATING DISEASE
This is what can happen when the doctors at your hospital do not wash their hands as good or as often as they should. Alicia Cole, an actress in California was in the hospital for a routine gynecological procedure and after her surgery she began to have a fever, which then progressed to Necrotizing Fasciitis; a flesh-eating disease. Necrotizing Fasciitis is a strand of the staph bacteria that aggressively eats at your skin. The disease ate away at her stomach/abdomen and she is still recovering. This disease and other hospital-acquired diseases are absolutely preventable. Bacteria lives on the ties that doctors wear to work, on their hands etc... That's why it is extremely important for them to wash their hands often and thoroughly.
